We provide you and your pets with emergency service for critical illness or injury, during our open hours. We hope your pet never needs us for an emergency however, common emergencies relate to car accidents, heart conditions, poisoning and a range of injuries.
Upon arrival, your pet will be assessed by one of our veterinarians. We will aim to provide an estimate of the costs involved with your case, however, please be aware that with emergency procedures costs can vary depending on what services and treatments are required. Our veterinarians will keep you updated regularly during the course of your pet's stay in hospital. In some cases we may need to refer to a veterinary specialist centre or 24-hour emergency facility.
If your pet requires emergency veterinary care during after hours, you can contact us via our Facebook messenger to seek advice. Facebook messenger is not checked 24/7 but, we will get back to you as soon as we can. Alternatively, you can speak to a vet using VETCHAT advice service. Information for VETCHAT can be found at www.vetchat.com.au. Due to us being a very small team, we cannot offer in clinic after hours veterinary service. In the event that your pet needs in clinic emergency care, you can choose to visit any clinic of your choosing. The nearest clinic that has a team present at their clinic 24/7 is GARS (Geelong Animal Referral Services). Other clinics in the local area have vets on call, but are not present in the clinic 24/7. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, our suggestion would be to see the friendly team at GARS. They will liaise with us during our open hours to discuss ongoing care for your pet.
