Why are we called Lava Street Veterinary Clinic?
The clinic first opened it's doors at 209 Lava Street in 1982, with James and Eleanor Cowell as the principal vets. It has remained an integral part of our local community ever since. James and Eleanor loved the clinic for 35 years before they headed off into retirement. The clinic reins were handed over to Hollie and Matt Adams in July 2017, with Hollie taking up the role of Principal Vet and Matt, the Practice Manager. In July 2022, Hollie and Matt moved the clinic to a much larger and purpose built premises at 1051 Raglan Parade, Warrnambool. This move provided our dedicated veterinary team with the space and facilities to offer superior veterinary service whilst still providing the compassion and personalisation that we are known for. We kept the name Lava Street Veterinary Clinic, despite the location change, as it has a special meaning to us. We are the same team, just in a new location!
Hollie and Matt intend to keep the clinic a family run business, with family values for the team and clients alike. Being so strongly integrated with our local community is important to us and our clients. Our customers know by experience that they can rely on us for sound advice and treatment options and that their pet is in the very best hands with our team.
Our dedicated team is always here for your pets
Lava Street Veterinary Clinic is a family run clinic offering you and your pet exceptional care. We are the only clinic in Warrnambool that is a 100% small animal clinic, meaning we have tailored care for your pet's needs. Our clinic provides modern, professional and affordable health care for your pets. We aim to make your pet feel at ease in our clinic with a caring and gentle approach to treatment and consultations. Our dedicated staff and leading veterinarians are all passionate about pets and avid animal lovers.
At our Veterinary Clinic, you’ll be fully supported with sound advice first and foremost. We know that helping our clients starts with providing a good understanding of health care issues and treatment options. With good advice and professional recommendations, you’ll be well equipped to make the best ongoing health care decisions for your pet.
With fully equipped examination rooms, diagnostic machines, laboratory machines and pharmaceutical stores we provide on-the-spot assistance for nearly all pet health and medical needs. Take a moment to meet our team and our own pets. We look forward to seeing you and your pet again at the next scheduled visit.
Due to our team being very small, we sadly cannot offer an after hours service. We utilise an after hours tele-health service called VETCHAT. You can reach them 24/7 at www.vetchat.com.au. This offers peace of mind for you knowing that there is a vet at the end of phone. In the event of needing to see a vet in person, it is your choice where you seek veterinary care.
